Mumbai to Ahmedabad cab: the route guide
At about 530 km, Mumbai to Ahmedabad takes the better part of a day by road. A cab turns that into a comfortable drive with your own stops and your own timings, and because it is one way, you only pay for the direction you travel.
Allow around 10 hours 35 minutes for the drive, plus time for a break or two. Fares start at ₹5,899 for a Hatchback and go up to ₹15,999 for the Tempo, and that is the price of the whole car, however many of you are in it. Fill the Tempo with 16 people and it works out to about ₹1,050 each, including GST.
In short: 530 km, about 10 hours 35 minutes, from ₹5,899 for the whole car.
What the Mumbai to Ahmedabad fare covers
The fare includes the car, the driver, fuel and the driver's allowance. Tolls and parking are paid on the way, at actual cost.
- The price is for the whole car and is fixed when you book; it does not change with traffic, time of day or the number of passengers.
- GST of 5% is added at checkout, and each car's fare breakdown above shows it before you pay.
- Distance added beyond the booked route is charged at ₹11 to ₹30 a km, depending on the car. A stop that adds no distance is not a detour.
- Nothing is charged for the car's journey back once it has dropped you.
Which car suits your group
Pick by the number of people first, then check the bags: a car that seats everyone but cannot take the luggage makes for an uncomfortable trip.
| Travelling as | Cars that fit | From |

| Up to 4 people | Hatchback, Sedan 1–2 bags | ₹5,899 |
| Up to 6 people | SUV Ertiga 4 bags | ₹8,499 |

Carrying a lot? The Hatchback takes 1 bag; the Toyota Innova Or Marrazo takes 8. Tell us the number of bags in the booking form so the right car is sent.

Tips for a smoother ride
- Count the bags before you choose. The booking form asks how many you have, so the car that turns up has room for them.
- Keep some money handy for the road. Tolls and parking are not in this fare; carry a little cash or a UPI app to pay on the way.
- Give an exact pickup point. A building name, gate number or landmark saves a phone call at the start of the trip.
- Plan your stops. A break every two to three hours keeps everyone fresh on a 530 km drive, the driver included.
- Travelling in the monsoon? Between June and September rain can slow the highways, so add a little extra time.
- Share your trip details. The driver's name and cab number reach you by SMS before pickup; forward it to someone at home, especially for a late-night ride.
One way or round trip?
Both come with a driver; the difference is whether the car stays with you. A one-way cab drops you at Ahmedabad and heads back on its own, so you pay for one direction only. It suits anyone staying on, moving home or returning another way.
A round trip keeps the same car and driver with you and brings you back, which is the better booking for a day visit or a stay of a day or two.
Returning another day? One-way cabs from Ahmedabad to Mumbai start at ₹5,899, and you can see those fares here.

Travel notes: Mumbai to Ahmedabad
Mumbai to Ahmedabad is about 530 km, roughly 9 to 10 hours by road, almost all of it on NH48. It is a long but simple drive: north out of Mumbai past Dahisar and Vasai, into Gujarat after the Palghar stretch, then on through Surat, Bharuch and Vadodara. Beyond Vadodara, the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway usually makes the last part quicker.
A day this long has a rhythm to it. Starting early gets you clear of Mumbai's morning traffic, Surat or Vadodara make natural places for a meal break, and reaching Ahmedabad before the evening rush makes the last few kilometres much easier. Plan for proper breaks, for your sake and the driver's.
The trip crosses into Gujarat, so check the fare breakdown to see whether state tax and tolls are included. If you are going on to Gandhinagar or GIFT City, give the exact address, as both lie beyond Ahmedabad itself.
For a relocation or a business trip with no return by road, a one-way cab means you pay only for your direction. A sedan suits one or two business travellers, while a family moving with luggage will want an Innova or Innova Crysta.
Prices mentioned in these notes may be out of date; the fares on the cars above are the ones checkout uses.
